REVOLUTIONARY WAR SERVICE
Military. Second Lieutenant, Provisional Officer, Maryland Militia, comissioned 22 FEB 1776. SAR applications list as a First Lieutenant.

BIOGRAPHY
Lancelot Warfield, son of Richard Warfield II and Sarah Gaither, was born about 1740 and died 1 MAY 1804. He married twice. His second marriage was to Rachel Marriott on 17 JAN 1783 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

A Provisonal Officer in the Anne Arundel County Militia under CAPT Philemon Warfield, he escorted a body of Tories to the eastern shore of Maryland. He was a member of the commission that built the Maryland State House.

Lancelot and Rachel had the following children:

i. Sarah/Sally, born 9 APR 1790, died 15 JUN 1861
