REVOLUTIONARY WAR SERVICE
Military. Enrolled in 1782 in 6th class, CAPT Conrad Corr's 6th Company, 4th Battalion, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania militia.

BIOGRAPHY
Johan Ulrich Rieber (Rever), the son of Jorg Phillipp Reiber and Margarethe Beck, was born on 16 APR 1738 in Ebingden, Württemberg, in the present-day Germany. He married on 18 MAR 1760 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to Catharina Schneider. She died in Frederick County, Maryland. Joahnn died 24 FEB 1817 in Frederick County (probably land later in Carroll County), Maryland.

Johann and Catharina had the following children:

1. Phillip Reaver, born 25 NOV 1766 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died 15 JAN 1844 in Carroll County, Maryland. He married Christina [--?--], who was born in 1760 and died AUG 1841 in Carroll County, Maryland.
