James Carlisle, Jr., son of James Carlisle, Sr., was born about 1725 in Scotland and died about 1802 in Bath Co., Virginia. in about 1746 in Bath Co., Virginia he married Nancy Rachel Campbell, who died about 1797 in Bath Co., Virginia.
Janes and Nancy had the following children:

iv. James, born 1759
v. Robert, born 1757, married "Miss Griffin of Conn"
