REVOLUTIONARY WAR SERVICE
Military. Details of service unit and dates not yet identified.
Civil. According to Peden's work on Frederick County (p. 381), he was an Associator
in 1775, a non-enroller fined by the Committee of Observation in APR 1776
and took the Oath of Allegience in 1778.
According to Peden's work on Baltimore County (p.283) he was a Private in Capt. Sheaff's company of militia and volunteered 16 JUN 1777. It also says he took the Oath of Allegience 1778 from the Hon. James Calhoun and lists the birth and death dates that are assoicated with this burial.
