BIOGRAPHY
George Hiatt, the son of John Hiatt (c. 1674-AFT. 1726) and Mary Smith (c. 1677-c. 1745), was born about 1698 in England (possibly Glastonbury, where his parents werte married in 1695) and died 28 OCT 1793 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. Some time before 1726 he came with his parents to Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. There in 1725 he married Martha Wakefield. She was born about 1700 in Belfast, Ireland (now Northern Ireland) and died 12 FEB 1794 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. He received a land grant in New Garden, North Carolina.

George Hiatt and Martha Wakefield had the following children:
