REVOLUTIONARY WAR SERVICE
Military. Served as Commissary Officer for Capt. Casper Stoever's Company, Colonel Phillip Greenwalt's Battalion, Pennsylvania. Also listed as an Associator, 6th class, 3rd company, 2nd battalion, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania Militia.

BIOGRAPHY
Christian Brechtbiel, the son of Christian Brechbuehler (1710-1761) and Anna [--?--] (1726-1753), was born 30 APR 1743 and died 12 MAR 1786. On 20 APR 1769 he bought his father's 108 acre farm from the estate's other heirs for £600. This farm is located next to Wolfe's Union Cemetery (sometimes called Brightbill's Cemetery), in Bethel Township, Lancaster (now Lebabon) County, Pennsylvania, south-east of Fredericksburg, Pennsylvania (also about 10 miles NE of Lebanon, Pennsylvania). On 14 MAY 1767 he married Elizabeth Kreider, daughter of John Jacob Kreider.
